Terms and Conditions of Use

Introduction

Welcome to Doowe, a web platform (the “Platform”) providing carbon accounting, carbon offset APIs, and sustainability-related digital products designed for businesses and individuals committed to reducing emissions and advancing climate innovation.

Access to and use of the Platform is conditional upon accepting these Terms and Conditions of Use (the “Terms”). By accepting these Terms, you (“You”), whether acting in your personal capacity or on behalf of a legal entity, agree to be bound by them. These Terms form a binding agreement between You and Doowe Connect Ltd (“Doowe”, “we”, “us”).


Because our Platform and Services evolve with technology, regulations, and climate policies, these Terms may be updated from time to time. The “Effective as of” date reflects the latest update. If you do not agree to these Terms, your sole remedy is to stop using the Platform and the Services.

The Platform and the Services

The Platform hosts sustainability tools and APIs that enable calculation, tracking, benchmarking, and reporting of greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions. Our Services include:

  •  Carbon Portal – A database of emissions factors and verified data sources for products, services, and activities.
  •  Benchmarking Software – Tools that allow businesses to assess their emissions performance against industry peers.
  • APIs – Carbon calculation and sustainability APIs that enrich transaction or operational data with actionable insights.

Some Services are free for registered users, while others require subscription or paid access (“Paid Services”). Access to Paid Services may be subject to additional product-specific terms, which shall prevail in case of conflict with these Terms.

User Accounts & Security

To access the Platform and Services, You must create a user account with accurate, current, and verifiable information. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and all activities under your account. You must notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access or security breaches.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts for breach of these Terms or unlawfulactivity.

Data Submissions

Users may contribute data (“Data Submissions”) to the Platform. By submitting data, You confirm that:

  1.  The data is accurate, verifiable, and lawfully obtained.
  2. . You have authority to provide it (if acting for a legal entity).
  3.  You understand that data submissions may be publicly available once uploaded.

By contributing Data Submissions, You grant Doowe a non-exclusive, worldwide, royaltyfree, perpetual licence to use, reproduce, modify, publish, and create derivative works for both commercial and non-commercial purposes.

Intellectual Property

All software, APIs, databases, designs, and other materials available on the Platform are the intellectual property of Doowe or its licensors. You are granted a limited, non-transferable licence to access and use them for lawful purposes.

You may not reverse engineer, resell, or monetise the Platform’s tools or data without prior written consent from Doowe.

Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Doowe, its directors, employees, and partners against any claims, damages, or liabilities arising out of:

  • Your use of the Platform and Services;
  • Your Data Submissions;
  • Your breach of these Terms.

Limitation of Liability

The Platform and Services are provided “as is” without warranties of accuracy, completeness, or fitness for purpose. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Doowe shall not be liable for loss of profits, data, business, goodwill, or indirect damages arising from use of the Platform.

Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of England and Wales. Courts in England and Wales shall have jurisdiction over disputes. Parties agree to attempt good-faith negotiation before litigation.

Miscellaneous

  • Assignment: We may transfer our rights under these Terms; You may not without prior written consent.
  • Severability: If any provision is unenforceable, the rest remain in effect.
  • Entire Agreement: These Terms supersede all prior agreements relating to your use of the Platform.
  • Third Parties: No third party shall have rights under these Terms.
